How to Prepare for your Bridal Preview
Updated: Jun 30
This post will be a short how to version of what you can do before your hair and makeup trial (some artists say trial, some call it a preview, but essentially it is a session with a hair and/or makeup artist where you will try on a look to see if you like it for your wedding day and also give you and your artist an opportunity to meet before the wedding) but I will expand on hair and makeup trials individually in the next two posts. If it is the day before your trial, this is a great way to come in prepared.
• Find pictures of hairstyles that you love. It is best to look at pictures of styles with similar hair color to your own. You should also look at pictures with a similar hair accessory to what you are thinking of wearing on your wedding day ie flowers, veil, headband.
• When looking for makeup inspiration, try choosing pictures of brides that have similar features to your own ie eye color, skin tone, eye shape, hooded eyelid.
• Prep your hair for the trial by washing thoroughly and using conditioner from midshaft down only.
• Prep your skin by thoroughly cleansing with a gentle face wash, exfoliating your skin and your lips using a gentle scrub, and moisturizing with facial moisturizer and lip conditioner.
